Research Focus: Fish stock dynamics and assessments with emphasis on industrial and small-scale tuna fisheries, lobster fisheries, sharks and rays, and sustainable exploitation of coastal pelagic resources.
 

I am a Research Scientist at KMFRI with more than ten years of experience in marine fisheries research, including tuna fisheries, lobster fisheries, fisheries catch assessment surveys in Faza (Lamu County), and beach seine fisheries. I have served in KMFRI's Observer Programme taskforces for longline tuna fisheries and have led and co-led several projects as both Principal Investigator and Co-investigator.
