Research Focus: Population biology of prawns, fish stock assessment, river ecosystem monitoring, lake fisheries management, and sustainable aquatic resource utilization in Kenya.

The researcher is based at KMFRI Naivasha and specializes in fish biology, crustaceans, and aquatic ecology. His work focuses on understanding freshwater and coastal fisheries dynamics to support sustainable management of aquatic ecosystems in Kenya.

He has conducted research on population biology of prawns in the River Tana Delta, stock assessment of Nebulosus harak in the South Coast, and monitoring of fish breeding grounds in Lake Naivasha.

Additional work includes assessment of fisheries status in River Malewa and evaluation of co-management strategies for sustainable fisheries development in Lake Naivasha.
