Beatrice Obegi is a Research Scientist with extensive experience in both marine and freshwater systems. She has worked as a Laboratory Technologist for more than ten years and has contributed to numerous multidisciplinary projects including Lake Naivasha monitoring, marine park environmental assessments, fisheries stock evaluations, pollution studies, and blue carbon research. Her research integrates limnology, environmental chemistry, climate change, aquatic ecology, and socio-economic analysis. She has authored multiple scientific papers, developed research proposals, supervised students, and established collaborations with several universities in Kenya and abroad. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Limnology at Kisii University, focusing on freshwater ecosystem dynamics and sustainable aquatic resource management.
