About Headquarters
KMFRI Headquarters serves as the administrative and scientific nerve centre of the Institute, coordinating research programmes across all stations and centres throughout Kenya. Located in Mombasa, the headquarters manages institutional partnerships, international collaborations, and policy engagement while providing strategic leadership for Kenya's aquatic research agenda. The facility houses the Institute's central laboratories, main library, and administrative offices, and serves as the primary interface with national government, regional bodies, and the international scientific community.
