KMFRI has published a research poster on the status of commercial fisheries in Lake Naivasha. This study tracks and assesses the commercial fishery stocks and catches from one of Kenya's most important Rift Valley lakes.

Lake Naivasha supports significant artisanal fishing communities and faces ecological pressures from water hyacinth, pollution, and over-exploitation. KMFRI's ongoing monitoring program provides scientific data to inform sustainable fisheries management and conservation policy for the lake.
