Dr. Okuku is a Senior Research Scientist and Centre Director at KMFRI Mombasa Research Centre. With over 18 years of research experience, he specializes in marine litter and microplastics, ocean acidification, heavy metal pollution, and coastal ecosystem health. He is the Regional Expert on Marine Litter in the Western Indian Ocean.
