Dr. Nancy Tuimising Tele was appointed to the Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute (KMFRI) Board of Management via a gazette notice with effect from September 1, 2023, and currently serves as the Chairperson of the Human Resource and Administration Committee. Her leadership in this capacity ensures robust governance, staff welfare, and administrative efficiency aligned with KMFRI's strategic objectives. The self-motivated professional and licensed Clinical Psychologist who is also a Mental Health Consultant holds a postdoctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Daystar University, where she graduated with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Community Development. This interdisciplinary foundation combines clinical expertise with community-centered development approaches. Dr. Tele is a registered Associate Counsellor and a member, in good standing, of the Kenya Counselling and Psychological Association (KCPA), and the Counselling & Psychologist Board. She has co-authored several publications, and is a mentor and a leader in several organizations, actively shaping the next generation of mental health practitioners.
